Metadata is the data that is constructed around information<\/li>\n\t
Resources are categorized by the format that it comes in, eg. journal article, book, etc.<\/li>\n\t
You may need to know what format of a resource you want before you begin searching so you know where to look<\/li>\n\t
Different formats are searched differently<\/li>\n\t
Books are catalogued with the Library of Congress (LC) call numbers <\/li>\n\t
OMNI is the Laurier library catalogue used to find books<\/li>\n\t
You may want to filter for electronic books or e-books so you can read them online<\/li>\n\t
Journal articles are found by searching specific databases<\/li>\n\t

  - We all search Google and it can be helpful for searching for everyday information<\/li>\n\t
