The number of points also varies with length of paper. A short paper should have only 1 or 2 main points. It is always better to go into more depth on one or two points than fit in 3 points with only enough space to discuss each of them superficially.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
In a 10 page paper, 3 main body paragraphs would each be very long! You may need more than 3 main points. <\/span><\/p>\n\n
