PEST is an acryonym that refers to external factors affecting a business.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

P<\/strong>olitical (eg. legislation, regulatory bodies, trade policies, etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n\t
E<\/strong>conomic (eg. economic trends, taxation, seasonal cycles, etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n\t
S<\/strong>ocial (eg. demographics, brand\/company image, consumer attitudes, etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n\t
T<\/strong>echnological (eg. replacement technology\/solutions, manufacturing capacity, patents, etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
Sometimes you will need a PESTLE <\/strong>analysis, adding two more factors affecting your business.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

These reflect cultural values and will inform you of the population's attitudes to work, public opinion, and social attitudes and taboos.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
